We enjoy capturing weddings in an unobtrusive manner, quietly, sometime, even when you are asleep, haha.

In this wedding, we found that the most interesting shots where filmed when the couple acted naturally, rather than posing for shots. Our day started from the grooms perspective, waking up and getting ready at The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, followed by the Registration ceremony that was in the Bethanie Chapel, then we returned to the Four Seasons Hotel for the door opening games, the tea ceremony and reception.

As a video editor, and at the same time, also, a storyteller. Though rundowns might look the same on paper, every wedding is very different. It is our job to find interesting moments to put in the same day edit, telling a fun and special story about the couple.

A truly splendid wedding, I’m sure the couple must have spent many long nights planning each part to the smallest detail. Even the ring cushion had the wedding dates embroiled on under the sentence ‘I Thee Wed’, which we found very sweet. Kathy the beautiful bride from Australia who found us via the Internet, had arranged a make up artist from Korea, the wedding day photographer Heidi Geldhauser to be flown in from  the US, and yours sincerely the videographers from Hong Kong.

Good life was a great choice of music for the same day edit, setting the scene for their lively wedding and the exciting journey the couple will embarked on together.

The photographer Heidi Geldhauser mainly worked in documentary style, meaning the couple could enjoy the wedding without needing to pose too much. Also allowing our video to capture a more natural side of the wedding. We always have fun with difference photographers and gain new experiences.

The wedding was kick started in the Intercontinental hotel, with both parties enjoying funny pick up the bride games, the registration ceremony and the reception were in the picturistic Aberdeen’s Marina Club. Good weather provided a good factor for their portrait session in stanley and Chung Hom Kok. It was cute to see the couple practicing their first dance during the photo session; we included this in the same day edit.

Like the song chosen, we wish Kathy & Wai have a ‘Good Life’ together in Australia!

It’s been almost 7 busy months since we last updated our blog or Facebook page. However, today we are delighted to share with you a wedding highlight’s video from the lovely couple Eska & Fred.

As Ah Kin isn’t free, you have the pleasure of enjoying an updated from yours sincerely.

Eska & Fred, now living in Australia, found us via the Internet. When we first met them, I couldn’t believe they already had 3 adorable children, they must have some sort of secret potion that is keeping them looking so young. =)

For the Hong Kong Wedding, filming involved an outdoor shoot in the morning, tea ceremony in the afternoon, and a small banquet in the evening

‘Is it necessary to have video coverage in this case?’, I hear you ask, ‘Will the video be interesting?’

Well if you have already viewed the video, I’m sure you will agree with me in answering it with a big YES. Without a video, you will never have a chance to experience the speeches again, and never have a chance to witness again how touching it was for the couple when they knelt before their parents in the tea ceremony.

The couple also shared these concerns, so just to be sure; we also arranged a ‘Pre-wedding shoot’ to document their shared memories when living in Hong Kong, which would be edited together with footage from the day.

Days passed and after viewing back the video, Eska & Fred were so pleased, they have since offered to give us a feedback and testimonials. We are so glade to have overcome their initial concerns and edited a video that the couple are proud about.

They would like to make the highlight’s video accessible for public viewing, so I decide not to wait for Kin and write this blog before he’s free in June.

A beautiful English afternoon, matched with a glamourous venue who’s previous guests include Queen Victoria and more recently Johnny English, set the backdrop for Kolone & Helen’s big day. It was interesting to see the bridesmaids and groomsman lying on the grass relaxing under the afternoon sun, this wouldn’t be possible back in Hong Kong.

The day was topped off by a fantastic firework display (again not possible in HK), followed by a night of dancing and sharing. It was also nice to catch up with Vanessa and Kerry, who recently got married in Italy.

Very happy to work with Amy Turner, their wonderful wedding photographer again.

Wedding Highlight

This wedding truly embraced the phrase “simplicity of style”. Creatively, the couple chose an instrumental piece, which was a joy to use for the same day edit.  Through the beautifully planned day, Kathie & Kenneth’s love touched the hearts for all the guests present.

A rainy day wouldn’t affect us to capture many interesting moments for Melody and Eric. Melody is a cute bride and we are happy to make a video that fit her style because we believe every wedding is difference.

Civil wedding in government marriage registry is always in rush. Maybe the place is not very big, time is rush(fair that every couple have 15mins only) but we like it. For myself, I’m happy to get marry in the same place that my dad and mum did.
